Today I saw a baby in an elevator and I noticed that it smelled funny. I kept sniffing around, thinking that the baby had a messy diaper. I even glared at the mother a bit, hoping she would pick up on the cue to handle up on the smell business. Sadly, it was only then that I realized the man next to me was carrying a dead skunk.

What are the odds of that? Crazy!

Actually, we wore an onion on our belt because that was the style at the time. What was I saying?

You kids and your onions, I just don't get it.... I used to be with it, then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with, isn't it and what's it seems weird and scary. It'll happen to yoooouuu.

There sure are a lot of ugly people in your neighborhood. Ooh, look at that one. Ow, my glaucoma just got worse. The president is a Democrat! Hello?

Why onions? At least garlic cloves have some historical claim to protection against plague and vampires.

Because the Kaiser had taken the word "twenty". Happened way back in nineteen-dickety-six.

Was this around the time you took a shot at Teddy Roosevelt or when Grover Cleveland spanked you on two non-consecutive occasions?

Wrong. It was the time John D. Rockefeller dropped silver dollars on him while floating in a Zeppelin.

The metric system is the tool of the devil! My car gets 40 rods to the hogshead and that's the way I likes it.
