Calhoun is the only coach in the 100-plus year history of service academy football to lead teams to at least eight regular-season wins and a bowl game in each of his first two seasons.

Emmitt and I watched his team route a once BCS hopefull Houston Cougar team today. Air Force had the ball 40 minutes to Houston's 18, and racked up 563 yards to Houston's 331. This was a perfect example of what a solid defense can do for you. #1 Pass defense shut down the #1 Pas offense. Fairly chilly weather today but a nice game all around.

Why do we continue to give Dodge a pass?????????????

Why would you hire a successful HC like this to work under the current excuse we call HC at NT? This guy has shown he can win at a service academy with all of their academic and service requirements. Think about what he could possibly do at a public school.

He not only showed he can win at an extremely difficult place like a service academy, but he proved to the excuse making lemmings that it can be done in 3 years or less.

i'm not saying to give dodge a pass, but the op had stated that a number 1 pass defense shuts down a number 1 pass offense, therefore defense is more important, so shouldn't deloach be looked at as well?

i like the guy...he did wonders during his first run here and i hope he turns it around.

but i'm just a lemming

      McGill scored in the 2nd Quarter.

      So was the radio play-by-play. Wish there was a video replay for me to see this. I also wish there was better checks-and-balances. In the NFL, can't a team submit a replay of a call to the NFL office for review, even if it doesn't mean a change in the final score? At least there would be some transparency and accountability. Based on the radio play by play, you would think that giving McGill the TD was a no-brainer, and the game might have ended up very differently. An option offense playing from behind is very different from one playing to keep a lead.. (granted, it was still early in our game)

      No moral victories

      We knew this 3-game stretch of Memphis, Tulane and Army would be tough. We lost by 8, 8 and 11 points. We are another year away (with better players and coaches).

      Fire the OC. The defense showed up.

      3 times within 15 yards and walking away with 0 points. There is nothing about that that is on the defense. Emmitt is right.

      This guy can coach

      I predict this will be his only season at Indiana. A bigger program will $$ whip him (and his players) into a new job. Speaking of Mike Norvell at FSU, they extended his contract last year (before the 63-3 loss to Georgia in the Orange Bowl). It goes thru 2031 at about $10M per season. But like A$M, they also have $$, so I wouldn't be surprised if they finish 1-11 they cut him loose to calm donors.
