• FIU is bad! Really bad… horrible. Here are some of their bad losses this season:

o Lost 81-64 to an 0-6 Florida Gulf Coast University.

o Lost 99-70 to Monmouth, who is now 3-7.

• FIU Team ranking:

o Scoring offense – 203rd

o Scoring defense – 314th

o 3-pt percentage – 257th

o Field Goal percentage – 307th

For this game, the Cheer Sheet is dedicated solely to head coach Isiah Thomas and his coaching career.

• Part owner and Executive of the Toronto Raptors. After a bid to become full owner failed, Isiah left Toronto.

• Indiana Pacers head coach – team eliminated in first round of playoffs for three straight years. Fired by Larry Bird in 2003.

• Hired as President of Basketball Operations by New York Knicks in 2003

• In 2006, Knicks fired Larry Brown and named Thomas head coach.

• In a game on Dec 16, 2006, Thomas warned Denver's Carmelo Anthony "don't go in the paint" moments before a hard foul was committed by Knicks' guard Mardy Collins. A brawl ensued resulting in 7 suspensions.

• The Knicks lost a franchise record 59 games before Isiah was fired in April 2008.

• Career coaching record – 187 -223 (.456)

• Hired as FIU coach in April 2009.

• In his 3rd game with FIU, Isiah yelled at Tulsa coach Doug Wojcik to pull all his starters when FIU was down 63-25.

• Other controversies:

o Magic Johnson claims Thomas spread rumors about Johnson being gay after it was announced he was HIV positive.

o Magic, Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, and Scottie Pippen lobbied to keep Isiah off the 1992 Dream Team that won the gold medal in the Barcelona Olympics.

o Overdosed on sleeping pills in 2008. Harrison, NY police chief said Isiah tried to "cover up" the incident by claiming his 17-year old daughter required medical treatment.

o Isiah was found to have sexually harassed Knicks VP Anucha Sanders. The Knicks were ordered to pay $11.5 million in damages.

o Isiah organized a team walk out with 7.9 seconds left in the 1991 NBA Eastern conference finals, refusing to play the end of the game or shake hands after being swept by the Chicago Bulls.

I know he has some verbals, but has any of the high profile recruits actually signed on the dotted line?

Also, a scanitly clad coed in the 1st row of the pit crew would provide great material, and would probably actually distract Isiah from coaching.

Wait, that may not be good for us.

One good thing to possibly do is bring some empty, un-marked Rx Bottles, and put coins, pebbles, or whatever makes noise in them, and have 'Enter Sandman' play in the background. My good buds who are die-hard Pokes Fans will never forget when I made up Rx bottles for T.O. a couple of years back, and when I waved them in their faces! And they were complete with a Presciption from Dr. Kevorkian! :D
