God this is such a joke, this suck in December is getting pretty old.

Did anyone go to the Game today how did the 3D glasses go?

Man I hope Bill Cowher gets here fast!

Does this team remind anyone of the past UNT season? Move the ball up and down the field, yet cant score touchdowns. Have a great running game, but dont know how to use it. Come back in the last minute to score to make the game appear close.

And the topper came listening to the post game show, where some poor, misguided fan called in to say that the Cows were just "a few plays away from being 11-2."

This football year SUCKS!! Please let the Cows lose out so we don't have to watch idoit faced Wade on the sidelines anymore.

Thinking Bill Cowher is going to come work for Jerry Jones might be just as big of a pipe dream as thinking Nick Saban is coming to coach at UNT. I doubt Cowher wants to work for Jerry.

It was terrible!!

There was actually a loud cheer midway through the 3rd quarter when they finally turned it off. The 3d glasses were complete junk and you couldn't stand to watch Jerry's TV without them. The crowd was completely out of it, and I think a little of it had to do with being pissed off about the glasses.

The thing is Jerry has the money and he has proved he is not afraid to spend it, also I think he wants the Super Bowl so bad he would cut his tallywacker off to win, so giving Cowher the control he would want does not seem like much of a stretch these days.

I like Bob Sturm's take on the situation, let's just have Jerry Coach the team and perhaps he can get it out of his system and hire a real coach, and let that real coach do the freaking job!

At least if Jerry is the coach I would feel better about the situation. Nothing is going to change because Jerry is the coach now any way but at least this way we don't have to wonder who is actually calling the shots anymore.

Cowher is not going to come to Dallas. This isn't going to fit his style. This would be a more attractive job for Shanahan than Cowher. Especially since Shanahan farts and produces a 1,000 yard back and we have 3 that would be able to help him with that.

No Super Bowl winning coach has ever won a Super Bowl again with another franchise team, wow. That sound like a TTG kind of story.

The track record of coaches who have scaled the game's highest summit and then went on to work for other NFL franchises does not spawn some sort of murky debate. It's clear cut. The coaching magic that won a Super Bowl has never been rekindled to the same degree in a subsequent stop. Eleven NFL head coaches have won at least one Super Bowl ring and gone on to coach another team, multiple teams, or in one case, had a second coaching stint with their original team. None have won a Super Bowl as the head coach of any other team. That's 0-for-11 over a span of 40 years if you're scoring at home.

That said I will still take Bill Cowher over most any coach out there.

I'm thinking Jones is going to put Garrett in. I don't see any indicators that he will do any better but hell, what do I know? Geez, Cowher would be huge!

I won't put much blame into Wade Phillips because I do not believe he has much of any power whatsoever to coach a team. He may be a little soft but I think Jerry has made him more soft since he cannot do anything without Jerry's permission. As for the Cowboys themselves I just think they are what they are. They are an average team who may sometimes look elite but they quickly go back to sparedom. There needs to be some personnel changes and get some new blood in here.

Yep. I don't think they will make it into the post-season this football year. D@mnitsomuch. They were really close on a couple of games; by less than 7 pts.... Maybe next year.

      I think this is a cop-out. He’s been doing this crap since the beginning of his tenure. The first memorable time was against Navy last year on the first drive of the game from the 1. If in the 5th game of year 1 he was already feeling like he needed to score every drive because of the defense, that's an even bigger problem. I think not having a reliable kicker or punter is the main problem. He went for the points a few times early this season and it didn't work out. Same with some punts that just don't do a good job at flipping the field. I've mentioned in other threads that special teams has also been a problem. Evans is 89th in the country in average punt yardage. We have to have a short kicker and a long kicker. Who the eff does that at this level? That's two coordinators that Morris flopped out on. I'm just waiting on us to move on from Svobada at season's end. Was looking over his profile and I didn't know but he also has Tight Ends this year. Where have the Tight Ends been lately??

      I understand that his decisions to go for it on 4th down so much or not to kick FGs or play the field position game are bad decisions. Just playing Devil's advocate. Could it be that those decisions stem from a lack of confidence in the defense? It feels like he believes he has to score TDs on every possession to win because the defense will not stop anyone. So, that takes me back to he should have never kept Caponi after year one.

      I went to the game, again we started slow and accelerated in the second quarter outscoring ACU 27-12. We let them back in it and the lead got down to three points twice. But we went on a game-sealing 11-0 run to take a 66-52 lead as Lampkin took over. One of ACU's starting bigs went out late with an apparent back injury. She's from Bixby, Oklahoma, which is where I've gotten my only speeding ticket, so maybe she deserved it. As for the arena, it shares the same name as SMU's (Moody Coliseum) and looks like a carbon copy of TCU's (albeit half the size). Recently renovated and very nice. The ACU men hosted TXST shortly after. Which we could get some better men's/women's doubleheaders and on the weekend to help boost the ladies' attendance.
