I can assume that it was because of the INTs and injuries.

Bingo! Throwing costly picks will always hurt you when it comes to accolades. Just ask Colt McCoy on Saturday when they hand out the Heisman.

I was just thinking this thread needed more Texas. But, it's a little short on Kyle Padron. Who can help?

I got nothin.

And yes, I realize how very wide open that last statement leaves me to the mental giants on this board.

Would now be a bad time to tell you about Mack's new contract?

not at all. They can sign him fir as long and pay him as much as they want. At the end of the contract he'll have as many NC's as he had to begin this year.

Ok, are you willing to wager? How about a simple wager?

Here is the bet.

If Alabama wins the MNC, I will walk away from GMG.com for one calendar year. Period. No alternate log-ins. Nothing. I will read the board as a guest only and not post until 2011.

If UT wins, you will agree for one calendar year to never post any of the following 3 things:

1. Negative posts about the coaching staff of UNT football. This includes your usual backhanded, smartass posts.

2. Negative posts about the University of Texas.

3. Anything at all (in any forum) about SMU.

Deal?

You'll be missed.

Wow, I figure Alabama is going to torch UT, but it is college sports and on any given Sunday who the hell knows.

I am not betting but in a very real prediction I could see Alabama winning by 3 TD's or more, I don't see this game being close.

That said I want UT to win, I like National champions to be in Texas. I don't drink any Orange Kool-Aid though.

Shouldn't that be any given Saturday? Or Tuesday? Or Thursday?

But Sunday?

Nah. I actually think Bama wil win this one. It really depends on which Texas team shows up. They got off to a slow start this year and ended the same. During the middle of the season though, they were pretty damn good. Same for Bama. The team that played Tennessee certainly wouldn't scare anyone.

That is why they play the games. The wager is just to make it a little interesting.

I agree. It's no secret I think the "big" xii that Texas won was waaaay down this year. At the same time it's hard to assemble a group of hand-picked Texas talent and not put together a competitive squad.

I think it comes down to line play. Bama gets my vote on both sides based on what I've seen the last few games.
