Jones has never beaten a quality opponent on the road. I think his only win over a decent team was at home over Okla State and they fired their coach at the end of that season. I'd rather beat some decent teams every once in awhile than win 20 games every year against NAIA schools.

If you read this thread you'll see that some think token defense is ok.

Please - I think you can agree that the first 7 - 8 minutes of the game the defense really wasn't too bad. Things have changed obviously.

You have no clue what you're talking about. That wasn't even our best home win that season(South Alabama was). And I guess all our Sunbelt wins are NAIA eh? Whatever.

Defense wasn't our problem so much as THEIR defense was.

true...im watching on tv..a&m only had like 2 or 3 open shots....they are just hitting everything (shooting 65% in first half...) and playing lockdown d.... dont count out the mean green though..

Totally agree. As a student, sure I would like to see more home games because it gives me something to do in Denton. But if we ever want to be a great team rather than a decent one, we need to start scheduling better. It'll help us down the road in conference play. I dont care if the games are on the road. Screw this building confidence crap- this team needs to learn how to play up a level.

We need to make some 3's in second half to make a game of it. This game points to the fact that we still lack the year in and year out big men.

Unfortunately, that is the hardest spot to fill in basketball - at just about any level for just about any team.
