After the quotes made about Dodge not willing to let go of some of the coaches, is the situation at an impass. If so, can we steal Frank Solich away from Ohio? He did beat us with less talent, and has Ohio playing for the MAC championship.

This is the same athletic director that hired Todd Dodge in the first place and told him to use our football program as a learning tool....

I wish Bataille was still in the country so she could fire both Dodge and Villareal and start all over, like SMU did....

New AD, new coach, new program= some REAL results.

Dodge and Villareal were at SMU?

SMU got a new Ad named Ornisi, who came in, did the evaluation that was needed and fired Bennett, hired June Jones, within two years, SMU is bowl bound for the first time since Reagan Adminstration

Dennis Franchione just interviewed on Las Vegas news and pegged as front runner for the UNLV job. Others in the running Bobby Hauck (Montana), Butch Jones (?) and Dirk Koetter (NFL).

If you think UNLV is a sweeter gig than UNT just take one trip out to Sam Boyd Stadium. UNLV drawbacks:

1. It's Vegas and nobody cares about college football unless you are in a sportsbook betting on the big boys

2. Off campus stadium about 10 miles from the campus (at least) - no atmosphere unless Hawaii playing town

3. It's a basketball town - UNLV ranked #24 - beat Arizona manana!

4. Commuter school - no campus atmosphere

5. City not behind Rebel football

And Franchione is chomping at the bit to take this gig? That would be unbelievable and if UNT made the call you betcha he would jump at the opportunity to lead the Green!!! He is a risk but knowing how eager he is makes him awfully appealing.
