Anybody?

Quoner and I will be in College Station for the A&M game, and I'll be in Houston with my girlfriend for the afternoon game with Rice... And then an evening of musical theater.

I am hoping to make the Rice game, but I just found out my wife has a committment on Monday evening, so I will have Dad duty with my boys.

If it somehow works out, I still owe you a beer or two, provided you don't punch me in the face on site.

Lifer, don't wait on that beer...I have been waiting for over a year just to meet the guy in person.....:rolleyes:

I'm somewhat interested in making the trek over to College Station for this game.

Do it. I'll buy you Kram's beer.

It turns out that the reason our game is at 2pm is because Rice is hosting a women's BB tournament Fri & Sat nights:

RiceOwls.com

I called their ticket office the other day, just getting to post about it now... You can buy tickets online, call 713-522-OWLS, or obviously buy them at the door. Sections 111/211 are behind the visitor's bench (click the "buy" link above), so 211 will be the place to be. Parking in West lot 4 is free. Just enter "Rice University" in Google maps, you'll see where the lot is and where "Tudor Fieldhouse" (formerly Autry Court) is.

It would have been great to have a tailgate or other alumni get-together planned, but we could still meet before the game somewhere in Rice Village. Apparently the list of restaurants in that link is out of date, but I believe most of the places are still there. I'm going to suggest Texadelphia, since I know some of y'all are bringing your kids. Who's in?

I also saw on my DISH guide that the A&M game is on Fox Sports SW, so those of us in Houston who can't take off from work on Monday afternoon to drive to College Station can still see the game, not to mention everyone in D/FW.

Was looking forward to the Rice game, but wouldn't you know it, conflicts with a trip to Dallas of all places and I can not get out of it. I can't even make a game when I'm in Dallas. Ugh. I might be able to pull the TAMU trip.

I'll be in Houston with the wife but unsure if I can talk her into going to the game.

For those looking for food, I would suggest either Collina's Italian Cafe or D'Amico's Italian Market & Cafe. Collina's is my favorite Italian Restaurant when I'm in the Rice area. Friends have told me that D'Amico's is also very good.

Do it. I'll leer at you awkwardly while you drink KRAM's beer that Quoner bought you.

Never happen...Quoner won't show. If he does....make him buy you two beers and make him take a drink out of both first before you dare drink from the cup...just saying...........

Sir, look for me on your TV set. I'll be wearing the chaps.

Meanwhile... I'm at every basketball game.

But does MY phone ever ring? Nooooo.... It's all about how Quoner won't show up and say hello.

For those coming to the game at Rice with their kids - I was just checking their web site to make sure the game wasn't cancelled given the snow & freezing weather down here, and a video starts running on the right side of the screen promoting the game:

Kids who bring a report card with an "A" on it get in free - "Bring your A game"

Me and about 7 or 8 other SigEps are making the trip tomorrow afternoon.

Not expecting a win, but hopefully we keep it close.

Interesting note: It will be the first UNT football or basketball game any of us have attended outside of the DFW area.

You guys have any plans on going to the Sun Belt Tournament in Hot Springs? It's a great time and I highly recommend it.
