His salary at MUTS is 103,000. Ford was making 93,700. I say lets try and get him.

If we would have made a change to the OC last year, we could have gotten Tony Franklin. I think he'd be a perfect fit for this team, but I doubt we could pry him away from MUTS now.

If Kevorkian is no good, I nominate Clayton Williams. He's got Texas roots, he could help with fundraising, and he's got the perfect marketing slogan for next year:

Dodgeball 2010: Everyone may as well lay back and try to enjoy it!

Everyone stop posting immediately. This one can't be outdone.

My wish list for a new OC would have to include Major Applewhite. He is definately an experienced D1 coach and OC. If anyone can help and undersized qb develop, if very well might be him. I think he knows a bit about it. And he is a winner. Texas kids certainly would want to play for him.

What do you all think?

Would you leave UT staff to take virtually the same position at UNT working under a guy who probably gets canned after next season? With UT you are working for a guy who has won a D1 MNC, here you work for a guy who hasn't proved he can even win on this level. I sure wouldn't.

I wasn't aware that running backs coach and OC were the same position.

Also, I thought this was a wish list.

My bad, I thought he was the QB's coach. True, this is a wish list. I still wouldn't leave. If I am coaching at my alma mater under a guy who has won like Mack Brown has, there would be no way I would leave unless it was to coach under another person who had some D1 winning experience.
