Rv And Todd Had A Meeting Today

Hmm, Vito sounds as if he knows more than he's willing to write. Sounds like RV put it all on the table for Dodge. "This is the way it's going to be or you can resign" per Big Bad Mamma B.

You are probably correct, on the "Its our way or the highway". Now if Dodge says no does he void his contract? I assume he may.

Whichever way this goes I believe it's poison to the program to have it drag it out. Let him stay, you lose the players who may have lost faith in his abilities and you fail to recruit. Don't let him go now, the new coach can't recruit and loses the opportunity to hit the ground running.

I don't know what to say right now. Honestly the majority of me says let Dodge stay one more year. Maybe it will be a miracle year and put us on the map. Maybe it won't be and we fall on our faces and we get a new coach we might can afford and open the new stadium with. Doesn't sound so bad but it will probably be worse than i make it sound. LOL

Canceling a team meeting certainly seems to indicate SOMEBODY was fired. But I have my doubts that it was Dodge...

It could indicate Dodge hadn't signed off on the "mandate of change" yet, if there was one. Maybe he needs to sleep on it? They would probably have a team meeting regardless of which way it goes, just to let the players in on the decision before they read about it in the media.

Whatever the decision, stay or go, it will affect recruiting. I doubt they extend Dodge's contract thus he'll be bidding for recruits with only a two year benchmark-ladden job security. If a new coach comes in, he gets a very late start and has to play guessing games about who comes back or not.

I bet Tuesday we know something.

Absolute BS! RV shouldn't have to tell Dodge what needs to be done or changed.

RV, get a college coach in Denton with some shingles on the wall and quit holding Dodge's hand like he's a momma's boy.

AD's, not only RV, put conditions on coaches all of the time. If the coach chooses not to follow it gives the AD leverage to make future changes

We better. Letting this thing drag out is insane. If mandates were given to Dodge, why does he get time to decide whether or not he wnts to abide by them. They are mandates, right? That would imply you abide by them or don't come back. At this point, I think the trigger needs to be pulled and we need to start over.

With all due respect, Todd is 5-31 in three seasons at UNT. It would take a miracle of biblical proportions for him to turn this program around. He has proved he can't do it. Plus, there are just too many experienced college coaches available to not make a change at this point.
