All I see is talk about Dodge's dumb decision to put him in, but he deserves his own thread for the performance he had during his first drive ever. If we had a guy who could make plays under pressure, in clutch situations, we would have had a lot more than 2 wins this season. I look forward to seeing more from him. I know it was just a small sample size to judge from, but how many guys can come in for their first game EVER, and pull off a drive like that? I'm very impressed.

If I recall, DD put Scott Hall in for the first time late in a Baylor loss at Fouts, and he promptly drove the team down the field for a TD on his first drive. Good omen all the way around for Thompson.

Riley never should have been playing QB. As I already said once, Riley is a great athlete and only a fool would question his character. But, he is not a D1A QB. Todd Dodge proved that today!

Ha. Entirely possible. I do believe that on that drive, though, it was more than "handoff to JaQuay"... I remember watching and thinking "Wow, we may have something here!"... wish I could have seen Thompson's drive in person today.

If TD is here next year Thompson along with Tune and maybe a possible JUCO should be in a open battle for the starting QB position w/ Riley ( assuming he stays at QB)
