Something Missing At The Army Game

Unless I missed it, what happened to Army Parachute team bringing in the game ball? And what about the Blackhawk flyover?

It was announced just prior to the game that the low clouds prevented that from happening. I was disappointed but safety comes first.

Cloud Cover too low...it was announced at the game. I told several folks in the area that I thought it would be too low of a ceiling for the jump. I did a bit of skydiving "in my day" and know the military guys will not jump with ceilings as low as they were Saturday. I was still hoping they would jump from a helicopter and use a static line or what's call;ed a "hop and pop" and make the jump. But, better and cooler heads prevailed I guess. I know that 2200 feet was the lowest I could legally jump from pulling my own rip cord. I think the military jumps lower on static line, but not the Black Knights...they certainly do not use a static line.

Too bad as its a great show.
