I stopped drinking the coolaide... Not that I don't hope for them to win, I'll be at the game cheering. But Army scores in every quarter, plus a couple extra and we pick up a couple touchdowns late...

Brain freeze...I cannot remember what I predicted in an earlier thread, except that ut was a MEAN GREEN WIN...of course. But, I'll make a new prediction and say the Mean Green get the win ovwer Army! GO MEAN GREEN...BEAT ARMY:

I have not yet posted on our thread, but I'll go with my default pick when I pick us to win:

Army score minus Opponent score > 0

You just went over about 30 heads with your fancy, new-fangled "inequalities."

Finally, a person in touch with reality.

I try always to predict my team to win. I never bet against the Mean Green, though I may not bet at all.

One week I pulled out trigonomettric functions, but then I decided that was too much work.

My prediction is that this game will be much like the Navy game two years ago.

1.) We can't stop them, only make them take lots of time off the board.

2.) We score relatively quickly - three minute drives or less.

3.) Our defense spends WAY too much time on the field and is wasted by the fourth quarter.

4.) Game is ultimately decided by which team gets the ball first (that team will score) and which defense makes one more stop or gets one more turnover.

Close game. I predict UNT - 42 Army - 35.

I have made the assumptions that (1) we win the toss and take the ball and (2) our defense makes a stop.

You do realize were going to lose the toss now too. So far Unt is 2-8 in coin toses or wait? B)

As much as I'd like to see UNT win... there's no evidence this football team can beat an opponent that is, no doubt, disciplined.

Totally agree, normack9. Glad to see 'ya here, compared to the multicolor board. At least I hope I won't get threatened physically on here, like ESPN's site! lol

      I don’t think Mack Brown’s the answer here either, but let’s not pretend McCarney is anywhere near Brown in terms of head coaching success. Brown would be a huge upgrade.

      The Band

      Our oldest is in the Oklahoma State band. They seem to focus on the entertainment more than anything else. The last halftime show had them playing “Bye Bye Bye” by NSYNC. Their pregame is just the fight song, Oklahoma, and a stand tune. Then they wait around while special guests lead the in game chants. In game playing is fun. They play iron man, dies irae, stuff like that. They play off the DJ better than we do. There’s usually no playing over eachother, though it does happen. The quality is fine. They have a new director. Last years quality was lacking.

      MAC BROWN

      Kicking has been bad, punting is average at best, and we allowed the onside kick against UTSA. Those are my main complaints. There's only about 25 teams (quick count) that have allowed a kickoff return for a TD and we're one of them. Special teams certainly wasn't a weapon this year which to me means it has the potential to be a problem. Regarding Morris being aggressive because the defense is bad, I just disagree. I'll refer to the Navy game last year going for it on 4th and goal on the first drive. It was game 5 of his tenure. He did it again on the first drive against Memphis last year. Two games we lost by 3 where he passed up the field goal attempt on the first drive of the game all within his first 7 games. If he didn't trust the defense that much 7 games in to his coaching career here but yet kept Caponi for year 2, that's a fireable offense on his own. Now to EM acting as an OC and not HC, this is his 6th year as a division 1 head coach. Are we really making this excuse for him? Honestly all of this makes me wish he'd get an OC job somewhere and leave.
