Interesting fact that the Army coach makes more...a lot more, than the ranking four star leading the troops on the ground. Says something about our priorities.

Would mean more if our coach was a government employee, which he is not.

(BTW, the recent coach's pay info in USA Today is questionable at best -- Navy HC Ken Niumatalolo makes more than twice the amount reported by USA Today.)

Two things here:

1) Welcome aboard "BeatNavy", but your Avatar name is just not right. Army is NOT going to beat Navy!!!! GO NAVY! OK, just had to add that to stoke the flames a little.

and

2) This is the last chance for folks to purchase TANK ARMY T-Shirts for the game Saturday. The shirts...while supplies/sizes last....will be available at the Alumni tailgate area prior to the Army game Saturday. They go for $12/each or two for $20...and all proceeds go to support UNT students through Alumni scholarships. PLEASE come by and pick up a shirt or two or three. UNT students need your support and the green shirts will look great in Fouts on Saturday for SENIOR DAY!

Come support the seniors, witness the new stadium groundbreaking, help raise scholarship $$$$ for UNT students and have a great time watching UNT beat Army.

SEE YOU AT FOUTS ON SATURDAY!!!!! GO MEAN GREEN...Beat Army!!!!!!

I hope there is a good turn-out from the many soldiers stationed in Texas. Are are any large installations near Denton? I can't recall.

Maybe times have changed, but when I was on active duty in the Air Force, no one much talked about AFA football other than their grads themselves. Besides, we all resented the mandatory deduction taken from every officer's pay to support AFA athletics (that has longed stopped).

BeatNavy..I do recall one thing about those AFA Army games...you guys were always pushovers!!

Joking aside, we are proud of you and your fellow cadets and wish you well in your career.

Fort Sill just north of Lawton, OK is a bit closer that Ft. Hood at around 150-160 miles, so I expect that we'll get a few soldiers from there.
