Looking at the roster it looks like he played as a true freshman which mean he would be eligible for a medical redshirt if he meets the requirements. That would give him two more years starting next season. Can anyone confirm or deny this? That would be huge to have a more mature Hogans for two more years.

I think since he has not ever redshirted he would be available for a normal redshirt.

Yes. He'll use a regular redshirt year, no need to apply for medical clearance.

It's obviously a tough loss for this year considering the experience level of our backup big men, but at least it gives us a little more balance on the roster since we'll have something like 37 Seniors on the team next year. Hope he's healing well.
