Hey.....we had a chance at a proven commodity......Donna Capps. The lady took UTA to the NCAA tournament TWICE in 7 years. (which is once more than we've been in our entire history).

But once again.....UNT falls for sizzle...not steak.

Spot on. Donna Capps was a missed opportunity for UNT. Instead, we hire all of the OJT trainees.

I had hoped that what I saw against TWU was just jitters and being out of sync.... doesn't look like a great season for the ladies.... Man do I hope that JJ's team delivers this season....

What a great bunch of guys we have on this board. 1 game into a 30 game season of a coach's second year will ALL new players. Already pulling the plug on her career. Nice.

I think it is just venting from another crap-fillled-pants edition of UNT football. At least no one is calling for her job. Yet.

OK....The company line seems to be that we give her a minimum of three years. No more blowouts in OOC by then, keep conference games at least close, and she has to win at least 4 games in a season by then too! <_<

Anyone see the "miked" up segment on the MG Insider with Stephens? Wow this team is in trouble. It seemed like it was an intramural game. No way Capps would have lost to SFA by 30. SFA lost 14 games last season and finished 4th in the Southland conference.

Stephens ran off players from the previous regime, including a academic all-american, and some of her own recuit(s) were no shows. Yes, we are only two games into the season, but some of us just feel a crap season coming on. Where do we get these people?

I was a Capps fan. A proven coach.

Talk to RV he is responsible for this hire and obviously agrees with Stephens removing most of the team she inherited.
