So, why no prediction board? It's Friday already...let's kick this off on a positive note with my prediction of:

UNT 32

FIU 23

The Mean Green fly home from Florida with a win!!!! Go Mean Green!

Posted

I don't see a win on the road:

FIU 29

UNT 9

That makes sense, but I favor throwing caution (and reality) to the wind in these threads.

Riley - Throws for 300 yards, 2 TDs, no INTs; Runs for 80 yds, 1 TD

Lance - 140 yards rushing, 1 TD

Cam - 80 yards rushing, 1 TD

Darius Carey - 100 yards receiving, 1 TD

Defense holds FIU to 80 yards rushing, 250 yards total offense, 2 INTs, 1 fumble recovery

Final: UNT 45 FIU 10

The lateness of this thread signals a lack of interest. That's sad, but not as sad as my prediction:

FIU 38

UNT 17

Maybe a lack of interest for you, but not for me. I know you are interested too, but your prediction is sad, you are correct. I hope you are wrong...and I know you hope that too. It will be OK as the Mean Green come home with the "Win" and get ready to make it two in a row against the Cadets of Army on the 21st.

So, If it will make you feel any better...

UNT: 28

Army: 17

How's that for getting it started early? GO MEAN GREEN!

I would be happy if Riley had that stat line and we still lost.

Absolutely

After seeing RV on the sideline, the fire has probably been turned up. Dodge feels the embarrassment of what his offense did. We will see new will out of the Mean Green

UNT 42

FIU 21

Go Mean Green lets turn it around!!!!!!!!!

I took a look at FIU's board this afternoon. Only one posting about NT that turned into a QB debate.

Seems the FIU fans are not interested about the game, so maybe the FI who football team is not

interested either. TY Hilton is slowed by injury. QB's - who knows.

I see another shoot out. The NT offense will move the ball, and score.

FIU will move the ball and score, just like all the SBC teams have done this year.

I believe NT will score last, and win 35-33 in the 4th quarter.

I hope we don't have an easy game. If we shoot our wad against FIU, we won't be able to get up for Army. We'll come home and read the clippings all week (which probably happened after WKY) then sleepwalk against Army.

UNT 28

FIU 24

For those interested in the wispy concept of "reality," here is how the two teams have fared against common opponents:

Alabama

UNT Lost 7-53

FIU Lost 14-40

MUTS

UNT Lost 21-37

FIU Lost 21-48

La.-Lafayette

UNT Lost 34-38

FIU Won 20-17

Troy

UNT Lost 26-50

FIU Lost 33-42

W. Kentucky

UNT Won 68-49

FIU Won 37-20

La.-Monroe

UNT Lost 6-33

FIU Lost 35-48

Overall, much more respectable showings on FIU's part.

But I don't care. I'm still going with 45-10 UNT. B)
