I have been on this campus since 2007 and im starting to think im a bad luck charm with football

In 2007 i missed 2 home football games. ( ULM and WKU) and we won both of those while losing the other 3.

In 2008 i attended all 5 football games and we lost all 5.

In 2009 i have attended all of the games except this last one vs WKU and of course we won since i was not around.

I am now 0-11 all time at fouts field.

SO IM STARTING TO THINK I SHOULD STOP SHOWING UP TO OUR GAMES :P (if i dont attend, maybe we will run the table :))

2) Changed my season ticket seating area

3) Went out of town for a home game.

4) went west when UNT went to FAU

5) Bought all new tailgating equipment.

All of this has gotten me 1 in person win in the last 4 years.

I'm 1 win for 2 and a half years as of last Saturday. But, you know what? I lot of people have gone a long time without attending a winning home game. Maybe that's why I was a bit incredulous about a seemingly negative tone here on the board afterwards. I guess it was "ugly", but I always like a saying attributed to Darrell Royal, "Old ugly beats old nothing".

      Oregon State (11/25/24)

      One other thing I want to mention, and Ross addressed this on the post game - Props to Oregon State for actually scheduling this game to begin with. So many of their peers are too scared to nut up and play a game like this to begin with. It was a really competitive, fun game, with a great atmosphere. Any casuals in the building last night are sure to come back for more. I’m sure the date/time of the game came into play strategically for them accepting it to minimize our potential home-court advantage, but thankfully our fanbase showed pretty well and the HC advantage was in full force. Hope I have the opportunity to go out for the return game next season.

      I agree with most of this here and I don't think anyone is calling for a 12 man rotation...but imma pull two lines from above that are kinda contradictory to each other: "Either these young guys are good enough to crack the 8/9 man rotation or they are not." and " if Ross offered him, he must be good." this is basically Ross's roster at this point, and yes, while we're winning games, I haven't seen any world-beaters out there. so if these kids are being given opportunity to win playing time and aren't at least pushing the upperclassmen for minutes, I have questions about our freshmen recruiting...I don't know if they "must be good"

      Anyone else still rooting for Eric Morris?

      I don't see any other option but to root for him... If you fire him now and reset the program again (twice in less then 2 years) then you throw away next season. All the recruiting, and portal momentum, and most of the team will disappear with the coach being fired.

      The Band

      1. Anyone. There is a tryout. 2. No. It is provided by the school. The summer uniform/clothes under the uniform are paid for by the students. 3. Both. Most play on their own instrument. Marching instruments such as the sousaphones, marching baritones, mellophones and drumline are provided by the school. 4. Both. To my understanding. 5. 1 credit 😡 6. Most GB members make up the pep groups but that’s not always the case. *This might be outdated info. Sorry if anyone has other intel.
