I'll be satisfied if he can keep being Lance Dunbar.

Agreed. And, I know the guy is trying to give some perspective to just how impressive LD's start is this season, but in some ways I hope he doesn't become the next Jamario. You know, a potentially brilliant career (college and NFL) for a great student-athelete limited by lingering injuries.

Yep, I hope his first full year is not the best year of his career. I hope he runs for 1,500 each of the next 3 years

Lance will have his own path to create. Every great running back has his own idenity, style, and determination.

Jamario had his break away speed. Cobbs had his shifty moves and power. Wilburn had smarts and cut backs.

Lance has alittle of all 3 of these great NT running backs, combined into one guy.

What is amazing to me is, I expect Lance to take it long distance every time he gets the ball!

The same view I had with Jamario, Cobbs, and Wilburn.

I just know a big run will happen, sooner or later in a game. Now, even a dump off pass to Lance

can go the distance!

I think I will call him-

Lance "Long Distance" Dunbar!

LD for short!

Because of his versatility (running and catching), I would be more inclined to compare him to the great Abner Haynes. Abner still holds some records for the KC Chiefs, and is pretty high up the list in others.
