Ohio is 4-1 in conference, tied for second with Kent St in the East. Their final games are against Buffalo, N. Illinois and Temple. They could easily end up playing Central Michigan for the MAC title.

Rick

so you're saying a team that is currently next to last in the belt had the possible MAC champ on the ropes? Are we that much better as a conference?

I think I'd put it more simply and say, we're a much better team than our record would reflect.

Speaking of statistics, did anyone here take statistics in the Business School under J.B. Spalding (sp?)? He used to serve as statistician for the football team in the early 80's. You knew whenever he had a chance, he'd work North Texas sports into his schedule.

I wanna think of it that way too, but I want to say that almost doesn't really count. Admittedly, if our team would show up as a group and be there the whole game we would probably be 6-2 right now. Without costly turnovers, and consistent play from the defense, we'd have a totally different record. While that's somewhat encouraging, the question has to be asked - "Why not? We're so close!"

This is pretty high level stuff, I wouldn't put too much thought into it, just take the statement at face value.

I recieved a mass email with everything I need to know about these statistcs...I'll forward it to you so you know what to believe.

Wow, look at the arc of that softball he just lobbed. Someone has to be swinging for the fences on this one ...
