Tune has done a nice job. If he had some coaches who would call the right plays for him he would be doing even better.

Tune's arm is better than Riley's right now. It might be a factor of age, but he throws a better ball than Riley does.

Yea, but Riley is the starter and according to Todge they will see on Tuesday if he can start next week. If he is healthy, doubt we see Tune.

Weren't you the one knocking Tune MeanGreen61 with this thread you started:

Tune Is Terrible, Very Very Average Qb

I think you need to turn the computer off for awhile

Maybe you need to get your eyes examined & change the perscription for your glasses

Tune is the better QB. But, his problem is the same as Meager and Vizza:

(1) the OC, WR coach, and head coach don't know jack about coaching at this level, and

(2) he isn't the coach's son.

Therefore, it doesn't matter that he takes care of the ball better. Once Riley is semi-healthy, he'll be back in the shotgun, getting hit behind the line on 4th and 1.

You concentrated on pass reception yardage only ..................just as important is Riley's ability to run with the ball....add the running yardage to the passing yardage of the two and lets take a second link. I am not knocking Tune.

Even with Riley healthy, and honestly, it's hard for me to think he'll be anywhere near 100% next week, I'd love to see Tune continue to get significant playing time. I think the teams, like Troy, that bring in a different quarterback (yes, early in the game), make themselves a little harder to defend.

After seeing what we have, I'm personally of the opinion that we don't have anyone who would play QB for another program at this level. Arguing about which of them we should play is, IMO, pretty futile.

1) the decision has been made and

2) it just doesn't much matter

As for those comparing this to Hawkins, I remember how some here were regarding Hawkins as the great example of how a coach can turn a program around in a short amount of time not too long ago.

Question: Has Tune fumbled ? Can't remember.....................

On Tune's second snap against FAU he coughed up the ugliest fumble of the year. An untouched kind of a two handed little toss up little thing.

I can't remember if he fumbled against Bama or not. I've said it before, I like Tune and love his arm, I just don't think he has any of the intangibles that make an above average college QB.
