Three weeks to early signing period.

Any word on whether he plans on committing then? Or is he going to wait until spring?

Edit: I mean, give a commitment to any school, not necessarily sign with us. Though I am optimistic.

I think with what Memphis has already signed they're out of the running...this really may come down to us and WKU. Peters had a visit with 2 other Houstonians (Kene Anyigbo, Leslee Smith - 2 forwards). McDonald's Texas ties seem to run pretty deep...I don't know what our connection is with Peters but this would be huge.

And if Ross-Miller wants to come here, I see no problem with signing 2 guards with our 2 scholarships if they're of this caliber...that is your starting backcourt for 3 seasons...Odufuwa, Knox, Holman, Hogans, Spencer and occassionally Shorter would be plenty upfront for one season.

all 3 were at wku friday night. i didn't see the guard but saw the 2 big guys getting the royal treatment from pres. ransdell and everyone else in diddle. kinda hard to miss those guys.

from what i read on h.h. omv's high school coach in san antonio put wku onto this trio. if we dont' get them, i have full faith in k-mac's abilities. i heard yesterday that k-mac is GONE if we do anything in the tourney this year. it was someone pretty close to the situation too...not some jakeleg like me.

brandon 'snap' peters was at the game last night. terrible crowd and we looked like mierda....maybe he thought 'i can play here right away'.

anyhoo...scout is reporting that he's committed to wku. i would be a little more excited if he had already signed with us during the early period.

now we have to wait til spring and having been the father of 2 teenage sons i know how their minds work (or don't work). we'll see.

Well. Damn.

Here we go Ross-Miller and Alonzo Edwards.

I hate to see all of these top notch Texas players continually going to WKU. First OMV, then Caden Dickerson, now peters. Damn its frustrating. I understand that they are a higher profile basketball school, but I dont care.

I really wanted this kid.

It's not over until he signs a paper. And he can't do that until April.

Yeppers. And just say, that we were to make the NCAA tournament this year....and WKU didn't. That might be exactly enough to sway him to NT.

So maybe the onus is on us (no pun intended).....to get to where we are a regular "Dance" partner, and then maybe we'll recruit as well as a WKU.

And let me just add that I read recently a magazine (I can't remember which one so don't pin me down on it)....anyway this magazine stated that Bowling Green, Kentucky is considered one of the worst cities in the world for things like: crime, disease, and famine. Also pestilence. And the women there are considered quite odorous.

Also, there's the goat thing. And I've read or heard somewhere that the entire city is ringed by paper factories and pork processing plants. Stinky, stinky place to live for four years. Not the sort of place I'd want to go to college, that's for sure. ;)

Do you know if the Bowling Green police ever caught that serial killer.....the one who was targeting basketball guards? I sure hope so.

I stopped reading the Bowling Green newspaper after I saw a week's worth of stories and advertisements for their annual U.S. Flag Burning Festival.

Frankly, ever since the Mayor of Bowling Green and the Chancellor of WKU sent Osama Bin Laden that congratulatory cookie basket after September 11th, I've had a slightly negative view of that town and that school.

I have loved to hate them. It's a hatred that seems...pure.

would it be considered a recruiting violation to attach a link to this thread to "snaps" facebook page?

Someone needs to warn him about the toxic levels of human and animal urine and feces at the WKU cafeterias.

Also: Did anyone else know that in Kentucky, it's socially inappropriate for women to shave their body hair or brush their teeth? Strange, but true! It's actually punishable by law.

Are you talking about the Bowling Green goat custom? The one I've heard about, is that any time a goat farmer brings a horny male goat into the city of Bowling Green......you have to submit to that goat. And I hope you know what I mean by submit.

Now is that weird and frankly gross? Yes, to us it is. But who the hell are we to judge other people's customs and traditions? I mean, the South Koreans eat dogs for heaven's sake.

Actually, if I understand correctly, the tradition has changed. Anyone who has a bad game that WKU loses is branded a "goat" for their performance. Then, they spend the next week locked in a WKU fraternity closet. You don't want to know what happens when someone opens the door.

But, hey- If a guy would rather run the risk of starvation and sodomy at WKU rather than come to North Texas and enjoy the weekly back massages that the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders provide to scholarship athletes... More power to him, I guess.

ok, I thought this was true, but not according to Rivals.

Appears we can completely give up this dream, and just look forward to playing against him for 4 years.

I'll see you, and raise you.

Peters visit came after the early signing period had ended...he should still be fair game, though I'm not gonna hold my breath.
