I have always believed that luck favors the prepared team, I think we are seeing exactly where our team is.

We have a much better team that is just about to turn the corner, like a car in the middle of getting detailed, the polishing is apparent, but the job is not done.

I do believe we are almost there, I want to win so bad I can taste the victories.

You know I don't see that, I can see the talent, I see great gains in most all areas. Our defense took a nap they never seemed to wake up from fully last Saturday.

I figure a little more discipline here, a better tackle there, a few more plays added to both the Defense and the offense, some more strength/conditioning and we are there not a team in the belt we shouldn't beat.

Other then our place kicking everything looks great, and it will all come together sooner or later. I think this season.

Just take three posessions in which FAU averaged starting at the 50 due to kicking off out of bounds and instead start them around their own 20 and you could argueably wipe off probably 10 points from the board?

Don't know the technical reason to it, but the punishment is usually placing the ball at the 40. However, apparantly simply kicking it out of bounds negates any punishment as seen by the rule, therefore the 15 yards is tacked on from the 40. Seems like it's a double whammy if you ask me? Still, it SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I've never seen it happen 3 times in one game by the same team. Never!

The kicking game is killing this team. We have a chance to go up 14 to nothing on FAU and we let the air out of our own sails be getting yet another kick blocked. That changes momentum in my oppinion. Then we go up 19-0 and we miss the damn thing AGAIN!!!!, opening the door for more momentum to swing their way, then top that off with kicking it out of bounds and setting them up at our own 45? I mean, it's just unbelievable. You could follow your local high school team throughout their entire season and not see some of this crap?

We can't get out of our own way fast enough.

Believe it was because of a 15 yard penalty. Kickoff was from the 15 vs the 30. Ball out of bounds the additional distance is tacked on for placement.

Ball Security has to become one of the top issues for this time immediately...Historically, you will not have consistent success while losing the turnover battle....

Jamaal Jackson was quoted something similar to "the coaches teach us to flush this one and worry about the next one". My response is "How is that working out for you?"

Sixty plus years ago, our high school coach took a day to go over the mistakes that we made in our last game and we worked on them. There was no game film; just scribbled notes.

Isn't there some adage that says those who do not reflect on history are doomed to repeat it?

I can see not allowing individual plays to get to you but an entire game? Anyone who continues to make the same mistakes needs to be replaced at least for a series or two.

I really don't know why we can't play with intensity an entire game. I thought that Dodge's "seven second rule" sounded like a good idea. Give it your best, most intense effort for seven seconds, about the life of a play. It seems to me that if our team played with their head on straight and with that intensity that we have the talent to win most games. Why not replace the non-producers and see if maybe we can't get better results?

Dude, overall, we don't have a coaching staff that is very intense. We have one or two, but, it's not brimming with in-your-face coaches. These coaches tell players not to cuss during the games. You want intensity with this group of coaches? Good luck.

If you watched Texas-OU, you saw sidelines full of intense coaches on both sides. Mack Brown and Bob Stoops lead the way in hollering at players, officials, and just about anyone else within earshot. And, the assistants? Both DCs look like they are in perpetually foul moods. OU's DL coach Jackie Shipp...lord...I don't think I've ever seen a camera shot of that guy not in someone's earhole. I think that guy wakes up yelling at his corn flakes for not being crispy enough.

Flush this one and move to the next? This team has a lot of pride apparently. That might work for one loss, but not multiple losses in a season and not multiple losing seasons. How about we have some freaking pride and play to win!

Ask Muschamp on the link below if he thinks it is okay to just flush a loss and move on the next one? Thats why he is next in line at UT. Deloach was the most intense coach I ever played for and I refuse to believe he lost that. But it is pretty clear that if it is acceptable to lose and there is no pressure on your position what is going to happen with the 2009 Mean Green. Players need to find a way and not rely on lucky or unlucky breaks. Turnovers, penalties, dropped balls and all of that crap sucks but it is part of the game. If they believe a loss is acceptable then I believe I'm just going to continue being dissapointed when leaving Fouts on Saturdays. For the record I will continue to be there every game win or lose but for these kids sake I hope they get to experience winning because it is a lot better!

normal kick from the 30 = their 40
