I haven't seen any replays....so I'll take everyone's word, that it shouldn't have been a fumble.

But here's my question: Why do we take Royce Hill off of the KO return team, at times? We've done that two games in a row. I don't get that. He wasn't hurt, and yet the guy has shown that he's great at KO returns. I believe on the Smith "fumble", it was Ira and James Hamilton who were back.

Just wondering.

I was also wondering about that. Still, it seems like Hill bobbled one kickoff (but recovered it himself). Also, there was another Royce Hill fumble on a kickoff that the meangreensports.com play by play listed as having been picked up and advanced 10 or 15 yards by Seidle (sp?). Maybe Seidle just wanted to get a "touch" and grabbed it from him.

i noticed hill not being on the field a couple of kickoffs too, it seems that when the defense has stayed on the field for a considerable amount of time during the opponents scoring drive they sub hill for someone else who is fresh. that doesn't explaing why smith was in there though.

Because he's averaging over 28 yards per Kick-off return???????????
