DeLoach doesn't get a pass. But you must consider the fact that their offense basically started three of their drives with a short field. Also, which do you see more significant increase from last year to this year in: Defense or offense?

Ok. we disagree about the pass thing, but I have not seen a "Fire Deloach" thread started. The defense has improved, but so has our offense. Sorry, but I don't count the Alabama game. But us scoring 30, 34, and 40 points should be enough to win a football game. 21 points, maybe not. But when your game goes down to who can make the last big play this is what happens. After Riley went down, the defense did not step up like they should have. They should have tried to take over the game, yet we call out the offense who did more good than bad to win the game. Sorry can't get the exact stats, but I bet it is well above 70% that a football team scores 40 points at home to an 0-3 conf team and wins. But 99, we have improved on both sides of the ball, and though I thought the defense let up a little, I did not see anybody on our team quit. Your question is hard for me. I think with a couple of seasons under this defense, and maybe a couple of playmakers step up next year or we get a hard hitting corner or safety via JUCO, then the defense will lead us to New Orleans again.

NOTE: DeLoach will always get a pass here, based on a couple of seasons 6+ years ago. I mean, one of the statements bandied about last year was that Dodge wasn't LETTING DeLoach do his job. Now, the defense is improved, and it's due to DeLoach? Dodge must FINALLY be letting him do his job.

Since this thread is mostly about talent evaluation when it comes to the QB, and offense vs. defense, and came after our most recent loss... How many of those drives that they got in our territory came off of turnovers from the QB position?

I thought our last QB was better, until he was run off to make room for the coach's kid.

Last time I checked when that QB signed to play here, he signed with Dodge being the coach, so he knew the situation when he signed, his DAD even told me that...so i wouldnt say he was ran off, he made the decision to leave on his own.
