Longing For The Day This Is An Issue For Us

And this is the only way we will have a playoff - it will have to forced on the schools.

What basis do the schools have for claiming otherwise?

1.) College football teams would still be featuring the flying wedge if it weren't for an activist President, Teddy Roosevelt.

2.) Colleges throughout the southern and border states would still be "separate but equal" by race, it it weren't for activist federal judges. Those activists gave North Texas a parity of sorts (for a while anyway) by forcing desegregation on us first.

3.) Colleges throughout the northern and western states would still be outperforming the colleges from the southern and border states, due to having the advantage of the diversity which would still be shunned down south, and it would be more difficult to question the superiority and entitlement of the Big 10, Big 8, Pac 10, or whoever used to dominate the "National Championship" games during segregation days.

How about inserting another factor into the vaunted computer? In 2006, when Boise played in one of the secondary BCS games, it beat mighty Oklahoma. Now get this: the Oklahoma head coach's salary was greater than the entire Boise football budget. So let's add economic efficiency to the BCS mix. The Boise bang-for-the-buck factor.

WHich goes to prove that throwing money at our problems here at North Texas is not the solution.

There is definitely a ceiling on the return on investment for a coaching salary.

Having said that, you can never have a big enough budget. More bulletin boards, right?
