They probably didn't want the men's practice to compete with Bonfire would be my guess.

One thing that would be cool at bonfire would be to introduce the bb teams, and give us a chance to wish them well as they begin practice. Also, all the athletic teams should support each other, so I think the bb players should be at the bonfire.

I dont understand why the bb team should not be mandated to go to fb games and vise versa....it would be great support for each program...as long as they dont start fighting each other...

I don't agree. These athletes put in so much time to their sport year round these days, I think that is asking a bit much. I see your point, but mandating them to attend a game is not right.

I've been trying to mandate the teams for years, but all it does is keep getting my posts deleted.

It is not unusual to see them supporting each other.

I see members of most of the teams at the football games. Unfortunately, I havn't noticed a lot of support from fellow athletes at the BB games. At last year's bb game with a half time presentation for the student athletes, I noticed and posted my disappointment that most of the athletes left after the half.

Obviously, you can't mandate attendance and you should not even if you could.

I do hope that NT has a much better student attendance as well as total attendance at this years, basketball games. This could be a very special year for the men's team. Unfortunately, a horrible home oc schedule will not help in this quest. I still find it increable that only a few hundred students usually make it to the basketball games.
