I guess his father had recently died; he'd been out "looking for a headstone for his grave".

Story on USM player's death

I know I get caught up in my own emotions sometimes following our football team, but who knows what any person is going through at any given time. We should remember that the young men playing college football are at a time which typically involves a difficult transition anyway. I know I can be indifferent to others' needs; I think we all are at times. It's useful to remember that a lot of people out there have big problems; even a kind word, a smile, or pat on the back might help.
