shows what a weak conference the BELT is, with 3 teams in the bottom 10. however, we have nowhere to go. with football attendance about 16,000+ as annual average, basketball 4,000,no baseball program, and athletic budget only in the $15 million range, we don't bring much to the table to attract interest from CUSAor anyone else. hope this changes if/when we get new stadium, but it will reguire far more financial support from alumni than they have given in the past.

FWIW, here is the consensus rankings of 89 computer/opinion polls:

Middle Tenn 61

Troy 75

Louisiana 78

ULM 89

Ark St 90

North Texas 108

FIU 111

FAU 112

Western Ky 118

Ball St 116

Ohio 70

Alabama 1

Army 110

About 18% of the rankings had us below 100. Not great, but it's progress. Let's hope it get's better after Saturday.

when idaho is ranked ahead of all belt members, you know your conference sucks in football.

Well, they're ranked ahead of everyone in the WAC except Boise. They've benefitted from a good schedule. They've only lost to Washington (who gave USC their only loss) and beaten New Mexico State, San Diego State, Northern Illinois and Colorado State. They were able to get SDSU and CSU to come to Moscow. NM State is still pretty weak so their real tough away game has been Northern Illinois. Everyone in the Belt, with the possible exception of us, has had a stronger schedule than that, particularly regarding road games.
