It's ironic, but I think that Riley Dodge would have been an ideal quarterback for Dickey-Ball, something of a quicker Scott Hall. He generally reads defenses fairly well, can spot open receivers and has the speed to take off when necessary. It's a moot point, but I wonder how he would have done at the helm during the glory years from 2002 through 2004?

Oh well, back to the present! I guess the question now is what can get this offense back on track?

Qb's with Riley's athleticism are deadly from any type of offense - option, pro style, & the spread. But, I can see your point. I could see Riley coming out in I-Form and running a playaction Bootleg or Waggle. Just think of how effective it would be if we played smashmouth type of football. He could take off running or hit the TE coming across. The defense wouldn't know how to defend it!!!! Oh yeah, this is how Ohio beat us on that 2pt conversion.

I'd prefer to see him in more of a Pro-Style offense. I think it would utilize his skills well, while not totally relying on him to run that god awful zone read. Cam is helluva back. Put a FB in front of him and run the lead.
