Middle Tennessee is not some kind of juggernaut, to put it nicely. In the national scheme of things, they're a mediocre team, and they led us by 23 at halftime.

Ridiculous.

And if their QB couldn't hit the side of a barn last night with his passes.

I think you have a poor perspective on where our program is in college football and what we are trying to achieve.

The GOOD:

The crowd and the weather

Will Atterberry, Jamaal Jackson, Royce Hill, Dewaylorn Cook, Lance Dunbar

The BAD:

The offensive line

The defensive line

The "look to the sideline" that gives the opponent time to adjust and set

Play calling/coaching

What has happened to Cam Montgomery?

The UGLY:

Interceptions

Fumble

Bad snap that caused blocked field goal

Penalties

Atterberry is a real find. He kicks the ball so high that there is little chance for return and two were downed near the one yard line. Jackson's great performance was dulled a little by his fumble (it still looked to me as if the ball came out after he hit the ground). I could probably add Akpunku to the good but there were plays that he failed to stop in addition to the good plays that he made. His sacks seemed to be coverage sacks, giving him more time due to the excellent coverage by the defensive backs. Cook and Hill have really improved since last year. Dunbar was easily the Offensive Player of the Game.

This was the worst performance of the year by our offensive line. I saw a couple of lineman struggling to keep the opponent from getting to Riley time after time. Yet no substitutions were made. Do we not have any depth? The d line does a better job of rotation but the surge was not enough to disrupt Dasher. It's probably just me but I am beat down by this constant look to the sideline before running a play. The play calling is vapid. Why is there not a short yardage offense with Hollivay, Jenkins and Mosley? Especially when there's less than a yard, why is the quarterback not under center? Does the OC not have a say in this? He needs to be held accountable for the play calling. Is Montgomery hurt? It seems to me that our leading rusher lost more yards than he gained.

I don't know the reason for R. Dodge's three interceptions but they were ugly and resulted in a lot of points. There were at least two bad penalties that caused us to lose points and them to gain. An illegal block in the back took away a touchdown by Darius Carey. An offsides gave the Raiders a first down after they had already been forced to punt. Middle scored a few plays later. But, I got that sinking feeling early when a usually reliable deep snapper rolled one back to Tune. By the time he could retrieve it and get it set the rush was already there to block it. A terrible way to begin a game.

Apparently you haven't seen the home non-conference schedule.

Must be a Sunday after a home loss.

You must not appreciate what the basketball team might be capable of this year - non-conference schedule or no.

No, just wish we had a shot at an at large bid to the NCAAs. With this schedule, we don't.

And was just bitter after the home loss.
