4-4 for Dodge to keep his job.

The SBC isn't that tough that the team shouldn't go .500 in conference.

The team's improvements don't mean any thing if they don't translate into wins.

Improving a team you ruin doesn't mean you know what your doing.

We are the equivalent of Wall Street. The first sign of something, not sure what, maybe not how to read the data or see the whole picture, we sell off and start the panic talk.

After four seasons of winning so few games, we no longer know how to take a loss as just a one game loss. Given the season predictions thread from August, we are RIGHT IN LINE with what everyone thought. Very few thought we would be 2-2 or better at this point. Most thought we would be 0-4, penciling in our only victories against the likes of WKU, FIU and maybe Army.

So what has changed?

Are you just panic-stricken like Wall Street, looking to be early adopters so you can save face?

Or have you seen potential in this team that you didn't expect and now think we are a 7 win team?

I think I fall into the second camp. I see speed on this team. We were worried about the WRs going into the season, and now I see Darius and Lewis in the depth. I was worried about the DL, but then are getting fairly good pressure on the QBs. I see stuff that I didn't expect and it has me wanting more and being more critical in my head.

I will let this season play out. If we can go on the road, beat ULL (which I think is completely possible), then come home and beat FAU (which I think we should), then we are 3-3 and ahead of most curves.

This is just a loss.

Don't come down on the Mean Green too bad. If you would have said at the begining of the year that we would start 1-3, I think most of us would have taken that with enthusiasm.

Understandably, beating Ball State in game 1 built a lot of confidence in the fans. We can't lose that so quickly.

But you can't possibly tell me that there are only 2 teams left on the schedule that we can beat. I see 3 teams that we SHOULD still beat. 1 team that we should lose to. And 4 teams that we can compete with and could come out either way.

This team could/should still finish .500 or better.

I have to agree, there is no reason for us to expect that only 2 teams on our remaining schedule are beatable for us... Rodge is the real thing, but he is showing his fresmanness... The kid is good and will prove it as we go along.

I will not be surprised if we end up with a .500 conference record and MUTS goes on and wins the whole thing.

Our record over the past many years has sucked and we are all wanting something better we are all tired of this crap. It is coming, no one on this board can honestly say that we are not a much more talented team now than we were 3 years ago. Good things are coming and we saw how this team could play at Ball St. Lets keep our chins up and not admit defeat to early. We are only 4 games in... Its not over yet

If you were successful 16% of the time on your job would the boss keep you around waiting for a different result? It will take at least $800K to get a decent D-1 assistant coach rising star, you get what your $250K bought----- an overrated coach and son who are "here to turn this program around" That I will agree has been done, it's in the biggest downward spiral in decades, they've turned it around alright--everyone assume crash positions.

I'm tired of reading posts comparing football winning percentage to a boss and a job performance. There is no comparison. This is the most tired and worn out analogy ever. There is next to nothing in common.

If it was a high end sales job, then I might even get a red blazer.
