Stopped off at the Sonic on 377 (Ft. Worth Drive)....the one that's near I-35 E.

Anyway, all the car hops........were wearing UNT shirts......that said something like Proud To Be Part Of The Mean Green Nation. (or something like that).

The young lady who waited on me.....said that they do that on game days......and have for at least the last two years.

Anyway, she got a great tip......and I let her know why she got it.

The owner of the Sonics in the Denton area is a great guy, who is a big supporter of the community. His name is Gene Gumfory and he and his sons own all of the Sonics in the Denton area. He was a mainstay in the formation and continuation of the Taste of North Texas. He deserves your patronage, when possible.

He is a GREAT guy. Thanks for info I will have to start going by there on game days for sure. How awesome is that.

      I was there at 730 to tailgate and still missed half of the first quarter. shit ton of folks...long lines when I decided to tear down the tailgate. be happy...so many people there. you want old school north Texas and can walk in just before game time...cool....that ain't how it is now dude. deal with it...and enjoy

      This guy can coach

      The current Leadership at UNT would have never considered this guy when he was cheap enough to hire here and clear he could coach (near end of tenure at Elon or his start at James Madison). I will tell you why. 1. Not no ties to Texas or Big 12 after 1990. 2. Not a well known “Air Raid/Spread Guru” All this makes me wonder does our athletic department do after action report on football coaches that end being very successful at programs that aren’t historically successful. I think it would be extremely helpful doing that for coaches we passed on or never got on our radar but maybe should have during a HC transition. If I were hired as AD, other than a budget review, reviewing our hiring processes for Football head coaches and the “ones who got away” would be my first order of business. If Eric Morris completes his time here without winning a bowl game or conference championship and extensive review of everything we do that setups our football program to win should be reviewed.

      i got there at 9 am to tailgate and tailgated after the game for an hour as well. i had no lines to wait in.
