it's amazing how far rice has fallen...

do you think we would score 24 points on Oklahoma State?

They lost Clement, Dillard and Casey... pretty tough holes to fill.

And I feel sorry for anyone who gets offended by The Mob, Rice's band. It's all in good fun and it makes for a far more entertaining halftime than most college games. If you think what they did to us was bad, you should see the way they give it to UH or other regional rivals.

Yep, and that "bonehead" is loved at Rice and in Houston.

"Votes"? Nobody votes on this, it is just some dude's parody of a poll.

At the bottom he list the teams receiving votes to be on his bottom Team. And UNt is not one of the teams listed. The Waiting List I guess is what I should say.

Rice and Stanford are both atrocities to college halftime shows. The M. O. B. (marching Owls band) barely made it out of College Station alive the last time they played there. I disagree that this is done in fun. I think it is mean spirited and only proves that they are money endowed, high academic, private schools. They fancy themselves as high brows and above successful spirited college programs and ridicule them just to cover their own shortcomings when it comes to school spirit and involvement of the student body.

I remember when UNT went to Tulsa. Tulsa's band was in the UNT area playing very loud, while the game was playing.

If you think Rice is just another Stanford or Ivy league institution with an "SMU" attitude, you clearly don't "get" Rice as an institution. You are, however, entitled to your uninformed opinion.

And I'd be careful raking Rice over their "school spirit" and "student involvement" issues. Last I checked, UNT was six times larger and yet only manages to average a couple few more thousand at each home game.

you can't spell multi-spoiled rich kids without rice or smu.

You kind of have to earn getting into Rice and then back it up once you are there with their curve grading system. Trying to equate it to SMU just comes off as odd.
