Or will the Bama beating discourage those who thought we should be ranked?

Great weather expected and it is family weekend!

I'll optimistically say 24,892.

Yeah, the vibe on campus isn't as high as it was for the Ohio game, but I suspect that the nice weather and family weekend will help bring out the crowd a bit. Only the hardcore UNT fans know that this is an important conference match-up.

I'd say somewhere around 19-20k.

i say about 18k. i was absolutely sick after the Ohio lost and I still think that we are going to fill the effects of it. we have 25k easily if we beat them but after dropping a game to them and then getting absolutely embarassed against Alabama, it erased a lot of the positive tones that we had after beating Ball State. it's going to be a great day but there is no where near the level of excitement that there was. i guess that is what happens when you get 3 points after being on the 1 yard line twice in the game and not being able to stop a 4th and 16 but I digress...

Didn't we have over 16k for the Ohio game?

Everyone knows it was a close game and the we should have had it. I think we will get a good turnout. I think there is still a lot of excitement about this time going around.

I say 20k+

I don't think people will be turned away from the Ohio and Alabama losses.

If anything, I think people were encouraged after the Ohio game because it showed we can compete with a team that is the same caliber as the rest of the Sun Belt.

Plus, it being Family Weekend should give a 1000-2000 boost in attendance.

My guess is around 21,000. Family weekend does seem to have improving attendance over the last couple of years even with the bad record. We have about 15,000 hard core fans that will come regardless. We have another two or three thousand that will buy tickets and come if the weather's good. We have another three or four thousand that will come for a particular event (family day, homecoming, parent's day), again, if the weather's good. Who knows what Army might bring; I hope that it's half of whoever's left at Fort Hood.
