Nice to see you hanging around Coach Dickey. Good idea. More of the same. We are just lucky to be on the same field as these guys. Let's get pounded and win the conference that the rest of tha nation laughs at. You guys drive me nuts with your "we don't get respect" crap and then aren't willing to play the caliber teams you can get respect by beating. Would you have rather played Boise State or Oregon? BYU or Oklahoma? Houston or Oklahoma State?

Comparing me to Coach Dickey? I haven't been a fan of these games EVER! We have one of the best schedules this year in a long time where we only have one payday game and the other 3 OOC games are all winnable. I'd rather see us with no money games. We have no reason to be playing Texas, OU, Bama, or any other team that is a perennial contender for the MNC cause we aren't in the same league as them. We're a solid decade of building before we'd have a solid chance on beating those teams.

If anything, these money games against schools such as Bama only highlight why we don't get respect, which is why I wish we stop scheduling them.

Strength of schedule plays into what? Our shot at the MNC? I'd rather play a bunch of weaker teams, see us win, get bowl eligible, play in a bowl game, win that game, and move on to the next season.

I was replying to ColoradoEagle's comment that we would if we won games with teams we could beat. SOS matters to the big boys in the mid-majors looking for the BCS title (Utah, BYU), not low-mid-majors like UNT.

Let's get some get some more W's against local teams, even if they are FCS teams.

Too bad about the game and last week's OT loss but the loss of Riley sure hurt. UH plays at Alabama or LSU next year (no return game). These games are a fact of life. UH did a 2 for 1 with OK State and it worked out great -- 2 wins to one loss. Ultimately, you have to take the old FSU approach, which is to play anyone anywhere. Even A&M lost 77-0 to OU in 2003. You just move on to the next game and internalize how far you have to go.

We need the money. At least we only have one game this year. At the time this game was scheduled, I'm sure Bama had been on a downswing for a while.

If you are going to complain about the money games...I have a source that says if you will just mail a cashier check in the amount of $900,000 each year, we will drop the money game.....

anyway, if Ark state, ULL, UlM, Troy and Midd Tenn can be competitive against top teams....and yes I know the sometimes don't look soooooo good also, but no one takes quit the licking UNT does...yes it is embarassing and it hurts.....but I really think we should be looking at OUR porgram for the answers, not that we are just playing top teams

so when we have a new stadium.....more funds for athletics, then maybe we will do better....maybe not.

I'm not complaining at all. It's a fact of life for the college football haves & have nots. Athletics needs funding and we sure as hell aren't going to get it in ticket sales, merchandise royalties, or TV contracts.

I agree with you, we need to be compeietive in these games. This was the same ol' same ol'.

Alabama, LSU, Texas, OU.........

I'm am so sick of playing top 5 teams.

I know, money, blah blah blah..

I can't stand it...

I wish we could stop scheduling them.

You and me both, but it's an improvement over playing almost everyone in the top 5 in one season, though.

I think if Riley was playing it might be slightly different. He's a game changer. Tune looks like a scared little kid.

hey meangreengdub, how many interceptions did Tune throw? how many fumbles did Tune have? how many sacks did Tune give up? how many negative plays did Tune have? how many fumbled snaps did Tune have? the only series in the entire game where any creative plays were called resulted in a TD. From what I saw, Tune looked the #3 Team in the Country all day without blinking. So, please explain your basis for making such a rediculous, assinine, unfounded statement? I will give you a hint since you apparently did not watch the game. None, nada, zilch to all the above questions. Please refrain from posting if you do not have a clue as to what you are saying. Thank you.
