There's a tint of more music talk going around, and I was reminded of some of my favorite bands again.

The 1993-1994 school year was an incredible stretch for me. Albums I discovered (many were just released) that year kick-started the careers of many musicians I would listen to obsessively for the next 5 - 10 years:

Dave Matthews: Remember Two Things/Under the Table and Dreaming

Nirvana's Nevermind (released 1991)

Green Day's Dookie

Soundgarden's Superunkown

DMB in particular was my favorite band through high school and first couple years in college. Then I transferred to Denton...

...and deserving mention is my first year in UNT 2001. I was exposed to so much, both on and off campus. To this day I am so impressed by the output that comes from little D. Both in quantity and quality. I haven't bought a DMB album in ages as I now continue to delve into the locals, jazz, and classic rockers like Led Zeppelin. I have the entire Beatles collection, but can't get into them. Sometimes I really love their music, and other times I am completely dumbfounded by the intense measure of creativity those cats did in the studio. But neither of those reasons has been enough for me to get emotionally connected to their music. At least, not yet.

So, being that I cannot get enough music talk: what was your favorite year(s)?
