I saw them headed for the entrance with their umbrellas and knew that would happen. I was hoping maybe there would be a special papal dispensation...oh well.

Saw this happen last year as well, and yet folks still try to bring in umbrellas.

It actually says that umbrellas are not permitted on the back of the tickets.

Oh well, if anyone walks by a trash can by the SE gate they can snag a few, I saw folks chunk theirs to get in.

The ironic thing is that the gift to the alumni for season ticket purchase was an unmbrella. No kidding. They had them on the porch, but wouldn't give them to you unless you were leaving the game. Thought that was pretty funny.

Speaking of students..hey guys when we are on offense and inside the 20 how about we don't yell. It helps the team hear the QB"s calls. Do it after a play, and when the defense is on the field.

We've been saying that one for years. It would help if the cheerleaders got it as well.

last night, late in the game, as the offense was in the red zone, the players on the sideline were encouraging the crowd to get loud. that prompted the cheerleaders to join in and the students would follow as well. during the big field goal attempts, the crowd would "shhh" each other. i think it had more to do with being led by the player than a lack of football fan IQ.

I have always figured we just had the dumbest Cheerleader coach in D1 football.

The players encouraged the cheering in the overtime. A majority of the times the past 12 years, has been the cheerleaders.

Yes, it was the players encouraging noise while we were offense. Has there ever been a more enthusiastic crowd at Fouts? I was most impressed by the student and alums sides' both, especially given the conditions.
