VB shocks the Razorbacks , while the women lose to PV a&m in soccer.

I had a feeling there would be a big let down after the ladies knocked off Baylor last nite. I'm not a big fan of the back to back games , I don't care who you are playing.

Congrats to the ladies on their 1st win of the year.

Man, Coach Hedlund needs to go to remedial scheduling school. I cannot believe he allowed this schedule to happen...a Big XII team on Friday evening (great win) and then you come back against PV A&M the very next morning...not good at all...results show it.

Loss won't hurt the season, but come on PV A&M?????? You have got to be kidding going with this schedule situation. And, yes, I know PV A&M has some travel issues or rules, but...just don't schedule it if so.

Good Grief...

Actually the womens soccer team has been playing a back to back game the last 9 years-Sunbelt Conference Tournament. Quarterfinal match is on a Wednesday and the Semi-final is on Thursday.....so this nothing new.

Second if you were at the game this is what i saw from the stands:

UNT goal called back for offsides....no way was that offsides.

UNT 22 shots on goal to opponents 5

UNT missed penalty kick

UNT 16 cornerkicks taken to opponents 1 (shows you where the ball was most of the game)

UNT missed at least 3 one on one's with the keeper-(on a dry field this probably does not happen)

I was fortunate to play on the mens team here and we all had games like this especially in bad conditions.........make no mistake the better team by far lost but in the game of soccer it happens, the ball would simply not go in on this rainy afternoon.

Did PV A&M play a game Friday evening as well? Don't know their schedule. If so, OK, if not...still a screw-up in scheduling. As far as the tournament...everyone is playing on the same rest pretty much, so it "evens out". If PV A&M played a Friday evening game, then OK...still, I would not look to do that sort of thing...wet field cannot be blamed and made no difference since both teams were playing on the same field...UNT, being by far the better squad, should have won that game even playing their reserves. I think the big win over Baylor the evening before had much more to do with the loss when you schedule back to back like that. I understand about tournament back-to-backs. By the way...when did you paly at UNT? I have lots of great memories being around some of those men's teams...some of the best was when UNT played (AND WON) SMU's tournament...that was the best!

Ladies will rebound and will have another great year...just hate to see a loss to PV A&M on the ledger when it didn't have to be.....GO MEAN GREEN!

well maybe the ladies felt bad for the footbal team so they wanted to make sure more than one team has issues with scoring. :P

College ladies should never have issues with scoring! Now, college men..that's another issue.:blink:
