I have been wearing glasses for the last 8 years and was trying to decide if I should go the contact lens route. If you wore glasses and went to contacts, did you stay with them or go back to glasses and if so, why? Has anyone tried the orthokeratology route? That is where you wear contact lenses at night and then take them out in the morning and don't need glasses or contacts the rest of the day.

Thanks

I had glasses and contacts. At first the switch to contacts is annoying but once you figure out how to make the plastic senses comfortable they prove to be far superior than glasses, at least to me. I don't like the limited field of vision that glasses provide, and I enjoy being able to throw away the contacts and not worry about them if I were to lose one, tear one, etc.

In the end thought i got the Lasik, and it is incredible. Bionic eyes I tell you.

Contacts hands down, but I would do lasik if it is an option. I could not and I wear hard contacts and I still like them better then glasses.

i wear the 30 day disposible soft contacts and really like them. I also have a pair of glasses so I can take out my contacts and give my eyes a break. Also, during allergy season, putting contacts in your already itchy, irritated eyes is not pleasant.

I have worn contacts for 20 years (damn, I'm getting old) and have done well with them. Different brands have done better for me. Biomedics have been my best, Accuvue have been my worst. I change mine out every 14 days, and you MUST take them out every day. I'm probably going to do the Lasik thing next year, but overall contacts have been great.
