Cam Montgomery Already Getting N F L Interest

I met a scout from the Detroit lions that was sent to Denton today to meet with coaches and get film on Cam Montgomery.

Apparently members of the Lions coaching staff had watched the Ball State game interested in MiQuale Lewis, but soon realized they didn't have any information on the senior running back from North Texas that dominated the game.

He had a scout from the Panthers come to Denton to look at him during the spring

I believe that Steven B and Stephen H.....both mentioned a scout being out at a practice....on one of the practice blogs earlier in camp. As I recall they said that that particular scout was looking at Cam, Eddrick and Tobe.

Just an extra incentive (besides a bowl trip) to keep getting better as the season goes along. Instead of playing hard hoping that someone will notice, he now has the incentive to keep getting better so they will keep looking.

Cam will have his chance to show the scouts what he can do against top teams when we play Alabama... A good showing here will definitely help his status with the scouts...

The scout, Silas, siaid that he was looking at a few of our seniors but that the unknown running back had gotten everybody's attention.
