Calvin Watson 6-5 small forward from Madison scored 24 points last night. Mia Ajekwu led Woodlands with 13 points, but she didn't get to play much as they put in the reserves early as Woodlands rolled 70-28.

Island Eagle, have you seen this Watson kid play? Have you had a chance to see the 2002-2003 version of the Mean Green? Just curious to know if you think this kid is better than Ty Thomas and Ron Harris.

Hate to see another 6-5 type that may not beat out what we have. Does anyone know what this other early signee at MCC is doing? (out of Lancaster High)

It's my understanding Mike Jones (DeGrate teammate at MCC) is sitting out this season due to transfer rules, seems like i'd seen that somewhee before, to save eligibility.

Also has anybody seen a good site for keeping up with Watsons' numbers, I tried looking at the Houston newspapers but not much luck, thanks.

I haven't been able to find his numbers. He isn't ranked among the top scorers and I think that he is averaging in the 12-14 ppg range. I haven't seen him play and overall don't know much about the player at all.
