NT is recruiting and has offerred DE Anthony Gonzales at Blinn CC. 6-5, 256, 4.7 offers from NT, UAB, UH, Kansas, Tulsa, KSTate, So Miss

There is a connection that MIGHT help NT ...it seems than Gonzales graduated from Copperas Cove HS........Note that NT has commitments from two Cove HS seniors...Brandin Bryd and Breland Chancellor.

Want another connection? NT has also offerred DT Jonathan Mathis 6-3, 292,5.18 who has offers from UH, NT and Tulsa AND safety Justin Goodman 5-10, 192, 4.52 who has offers from Utah, UTEP and NT....all 3 players are at Blinn CC and are worthy of ship (IMHO) separately...

Want another connection? NT has enrolled William Cole transfer from OK ST who attended Cedar Hill HS. NT has offered a Cedar Hill HS OG Josh Allen, a 3*, ranked #17, 6-3, 260 Whoo here...NT has on our FB squad Brandon Akpunku, James Hamilton and Tyler Washington a regular pipline for recruits...all of whom could help recruit Gonzales...who could then help recruit the other two Blinn prospects.

Hopefully our commits and companion offers at Blinn and Cedar Hill will help us get Gonzales , Mathis and Goodman and Josh Allen. We can dream can't we?

Can anyone else come up with some connections I have missed on current recruiting ?

I think that the Cedar Hill pipeline is a good one. Cedar Hill his a HS powerhouse that puts out a ton of D-1 talent, having current players is a huge benefit. They are able to stop by the Cedar Hill fieldhouse and talk up these current HS players. These are kids that have played together for years, grown up together, this helps out alot! Hopefully we can land a couple kids from this years class as well!!

As far as the Blinn connection....eh. I would love to have them, but these kids have only spent few years together and don't have the same bond that you would with a HS teamate. Like I said I hope we get them though.

And while on the topic of Juco players. Hopefully we wont need to get more than 1 or 2 Juco kids in the next recruiting class.

Response: NT has 8 offers to JC's outstanding...2 WR, 1-SS.LB, 1 DE, 2-DT, 1-S and 1 LB Obviously these are postions that Dodge feels will need some help in the 0-10 season OldTimer.

There are Junior Colleges with more NFL players than some universities... My Brother played at Kilgore back in 2000-2001 and there were 5 kids off his team end up in the NFL... DeMario Williams, Thomas Herron, Kevin Everett, Ricardo Colclough and Brandon Warefield... Not to mention the FS the Cowboys just signed, Marvon White, is also a former Kilgore player...

And 2 years of JuCo ball binds kids together far more than you think....Big difference in being away from home and on a team vs being at the house with mommy and daddy and the team... Your team becomes your family... We always had boys at our house for Thanksgiving and Christmas from Kilgore...

I love the Cedar Hill connection and love the Blinn/Miss Juco connections...

      Army is a good team

      You seem to have a lot of conviction when you say that. Have you seen this group play? Have you seen the coaching? Have you seen how we keep beating ourselves? Like I mentioned in another post, we are not a team to look at a schedule and pencil in wins. We’re not that good. Army has beaten bottom half programs they’ve faced. They beat another one yesterday.

      McGill scored in the 2nd Quarter.

      I’ve thought a lot about how different the game would have been had that not happened. We’re all pissed that we couldn’t score there, but we really did. Add to that the PI call and the fumble that was called an incomplete pass and it’s actually kind of shocking that we still could have won the game. The TD not being given to us is even more frustrating if you saw the TD that Bama was given. Instant replay really sucks sometimes. What’s the point if you can’t get it right?

      McGill scored in the 2nd Quarter.

      It was hard to tell live from my position in the stands if McGill got the touchdown. The replay shown in the stadium wasn't conclusive. Hank asked Morris about it on the postgame radio show. Morris said 'that even on the tape on the sideline' it looked like McGill scored. From watching an ESPN highlight clip after the game it looked like he scored to me. I think you're referring to the fumble that was overturned by replay. It was so close. The DPI call on Nelson earlier in that drive made me absolutely nuts. Chandler's INTs were crushing. There was a mass exodus of people with green shirts on after the first pick. A bubble bursting type of moment.

      McGill scored in the 2nd Quarter.

      It was a touchdown. I'm also flabbergasted at how it wasn't overturned. That said, we failed to execute where we had control. Morris can't throw into coverage like on the first pic and can't throw that 2nd interception with Sides wide freaking open in the flat. There were other near pics during the game. Not sure what Morris was doing but his decision making was off all game.
