They were talking about this on good day yesterday morning. Tim said that UNT was upset because there was no green and white can. Then followed that by saying "I don't know why they care, they lost, what, ten straight?" Nice.

Anything but Miller Light! Those meat head guys at the Miller Lite tent who think they are bouncers for a night club pissed me off so many times I haven't bought Miller since last year...

We've had a good tailgating beer thread before. Real Ale from Blanco is the way to go. It's a Texas beer and damn good. They even have a flavor (my favorite) with a green label. Next to that I like Lawnmower Ale (out of Houston), Then I like Full Sail, out of Minnesota I believe. It's employee owned and damn tasty.

any beer with lime is ghey!!!! that includes all mexican beers since you can't drink them without a lime...that should tell you something!

if you have to add something to the beer to make it drinkable, then it's obvious the beer is crap....of course, my opinion.

Who needs a lime for Negra Modelo?

Also, since Real was brouht up elsewhere. I'd endorse someone bringing a keg of Franconia this fall - especially the Octoberfest once it's available.

Well that was kinda' the point. A list of Mexican beers that I don't think need a lime. I would personally add Pacifico to that list, but I don't know if anyone here would agree.

Pacifico sounds pretty Californian to me...haven't you been lectured already about that?

Well, yeah, I was gonna' point out that it's a hippie west coast Mexican beer from the leftist city of Mazatlan, but I didn't think anybody would give a rat's ass.

      Do I need to go into another rant about how we didn't start our endowment fund until 1974 or 75. It was AGAINST OUR CULTURE TO RAISE OUTSIDE MONIES. When we finally caught on, we were 84 years behind just about everyone else. BUT most of the administrators still didn't want North Texas to change. Around the time that "Jitter Nolan" and Hayden Fry arrived we were the complete opposite of SMU. They loved their money, and we loved our bureaucracy. And that is mostly still true today. SMU resents that they were punished for what just about all the other SWC schools were doing. And that is somewhat valid. But my assessment of what went down starts with the fact that everyone dislikes and/or hates SMU and it culminated with their ham handed, and arrogant, system of paying players. SO, once again, SMU was treated unfairly, but they pretty much brought it on themselves. Just about everyone hated you then.......and pretty much still does.

      That was actually for 2017. I looked at the wrong year... they were 79th for 2018-2019 calendar year. Middle of the pack in the ACC.       First College Net Rankings released

      that Jan 5 game is setting up to be super important as it's looking like possibly our only other shot at a Quad 1 win. plus for some of you, it could be a convenient stop on your roadtrip...looks like Memphis is about a third of the way to DC...might wanna get on the road after the game to catch the daytime reunion activities, but either way I'm sure the party will be going well into the night
