What A Difference A Year Makes

Think back to this time last year and how negative and skeptical nearly everyone was regarding the stadium. And since then we have achieved:

• A victorious student referendum
• Fought off a large and vocal element that wanted a student vote to overturn the referendum
• Pushed the legislation through Austin and the Governor's office
• Raised cash and secured pledges
• Presented a stadium design and timeline
• Secured Board of Regents approval

In addition, the Athletic Department has:

• Improved communication with weekly Mean Green Club emails
• Redesigned the website
• Scheduled a 6-home game season
• Reduced "body bag" games to just one per season

Not drinking the kool-aid, but DAMN. We have come a long way, baby.

The team looks greatly improved this season. Hopefully we will see enough success to justify giving Coach Dodge a contract extension that will build stability in this program.
