The problem with a 1-AA opponent is that if you win, "well of course you won. They're 1-AA"

And if you don't belive it, wait until SMU wins over Stephen F. Austin to open the season.

But if you lose, "You guys got beat by a 1-AA team."

And if you don't believe it, wait until SFA sweeps the stable with SMU.

I have no issues with a D-1AA as a season opener, I'd rather open the season against a MAC team than a 1-AA however. I don't like doing it every year, because we can't use the win for bowl eligibility every year, only every other, and by the light of a blue moon, and other well thought out NCAA regulations...

I'd be much more interested in getting games against Houston, Rice and SMU on a home and home basis...That's a way to open the season, SMU at home...Isn't our season opener always almost on the roas?

I do think this years schedule is one of the better we've had in the last few years..
