I have seen some good comments about Carey and Brainerd. Is there any chance of either of them

breaking into the WR rotation? I look forward to some of your comments. Was Brainerd a starting wr at Southlake?

I hear he has some good wheels on him.

I think that Carey goes directly to the two-deep. He seems to have a great combination of speed, hands and route-running ability to be a future star. As a former quarterback, he has a great understanding of the game which gives him a little edge on those with similar talent.

Chris Brainard posesses all of the above attributes as well....savvy, great route runner, excellent hands and quickness, if not great speed. What he lacks is size. He's tall enough but very lanky. He weighs less than 160 pounds on a nearly six-foot frame. He could take the hits in high school but not in college. I don't think that he could last if he had to make many catches over the middle. He'd be better off with a redshirt year to gain weight, strength and maybe add a little speed. He was good in high school but he can be even better in college.

Brainard walked on last year, if I'm not mistaken. He's already had his redshirt year.

Marcus Camper immediately came to mind when I read this. Hope Carey turns out to be the second coming of Camper.
