Got my Fall 2009 College of Music calendar in the mail today. How about an Athletics/Music detente?

Dr Bataille brings together Rick Villareal and James Scott (Dean, UNT College of Music) in one of the nuetral Colleges (I recommend the School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management). The agreement I propose is that we gather volunteers from each "side." Each volunteer from Athletics will attend one admission-charging music event and each music volunteer will attend one admission-charging athletic event. If a volunteer from either side typically attends the other's events, that volunteer could add one more event to his/her calendar.

I will volunteer, and the Music event I will attend is the Wednesday, September 30 Fine Arts Series Event:

UNT Symphony Orchestra with Guest Artist Mariangela Vacatello, Van Cliburn Competition Finalist, WPH, 8 pm, $20/15/10.

Both sides increase attendance and revenues.
