Well not much of anything new for the Mean Green from CFN.

Great Overview of the season... I think the team that will suprise people this season from the Sun Belt will be FIU, there getting better and look to continue that.

Coach Dodge is picked as the coach who is on the hot seat for the year.

Nothing positive about the Mean Green for the upcoming season according to CFN.

Ball State will be the measuring gauge for this upcoming season.

That's not quite true. There's some cautious optimism.

Throw in the . . . progress made by the bottom feeders, FIU and North Texas, and the league continues to move forward. . . . with Todd Dodge having the pieces in place at North Texas (at least the program hopes he does), there should be more quirks and more upsets this season.

It will be a gauge, but I wouldn't call the first game the gauge. The Game 1 to Game 2 learning curve is usually the biggest jump of the season. I think Ohio will give us better indication of where this team will stand.

Well, a very rare review, NT is not in the last or next to last slot. I do think they went to sleep at the wheel when rating the NT offensive line the 8th best in the league. They noted all the starters are back and the best lineman, Drake is returning after a years absence and still rated them next to the bottom of the conference. Strange, what most recognize as the strength of the team being rated behind NT's questionable defense.

Sounds like a well research article. The Dodge era is the worst in school history. There is no tangible evidence this season is going to be a change from Dodge's horrible norm, just blind faith of a fan base.

If you call it a "well research" article, then why does it refer to North Texas' progress? This suggests that the writer thinks there will be "a change from Dodge's horrible norm." Realize that this article does little to justify your Mean Green hatorade.

Yawn. And the article goes on to say at least they hope there is some progress from SBC "bottom feeders."

Like I said there is no reason to think this team is going to be better other than blind faith.
