What is going on is wishful thinking on many peoples part for them to still believe that the team is going to win many games this year. This is going to be a down year for womans soccer. You don't just lose a goalie in Monica, you lose your team leader. What is the Utah Jazz without John Stockton?? She was an on the field leader the one person that always had her head on her shoulders and kept the team together. You don't just replace that and somebody doesn't just step and and take over cause that is something that isn't tought. You either have that passion or you don't! and now nobody has it! Having walk-ons is great but why be overjoyed with 8 walk-ons when only 1 is truly worth playing and even then she is suspect in coming from texas tech! I mean great, 8 walk-ons so now in a whole we have 5 people that know how to tie their shoe laces. These walk-ons aren't saviors, just a temporary relief in numbers and they still don't have a goalie. so how suspect is the defense??????? time will tell and we will find out against Nicholls State, ladies and gentleman this will be a game despite what any one at UNT says.

I have to agree that losing Monica is a very big loss. There is no question that she was a team leader, certainly that leadership will be missed. You said that one of the walk-ons is from Texas Tech, do you know who she is or any information about the others?

I still maintain that we have some very good talent on the team and I have seen three of the recruits play and they range from very good to deserving the all-state honor earned.

How do you see the positions shaking down? Aside from the hole in goalie where do you see us weak and where do you think we have some strength?

Do you have anything to say besides bashing the soccer team. Hell, why should they even lace them up(if they can according to you) if our prospects are so poor. They are one of the only teams that has done anything around here for the past few years so they get my FULL support no matter whether they are walk-ons or scholarship atheletes.

true they are a younger team, but can some 20 year old college player replace the experience of stockton or his leadership and what he was for the team when he plays! No! and as is he is one of teh all time leaders in steals and assists!
